Thanksgiving for Paso Robles is organized and executed 100% by volunteers. We expect a large turnout again this year; your assistance is needed more than ever. There’s a lot to do! We have to raise the money to buy the food, pick it up, prepare it, and serve it. And, of course, we need to prepare the space to do all of this. There’s pre-cleaning, decorating, setting tables, bussing, and more cleaning.

This is a huge endeavor, imagine opening a restaurant to serve 1,500 meals in one day; we have to know that staff is scheduled for every job. Therefore, we insist that all volunteers pre-register; no walk-in volunteers. Volunteers at the event must be 14 years of age; to work in the kitchen you must be 16 years old. We encourage families with younger children to sign up to deliver meals.

There’s lots to do on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of Thanksgiving week. It takes about 200 people working nearly 1200 man-hours to put on Thanksgiving for Paso Robles each year.
